First trolley I bought from Decathlon. Quality was superb , price was half of this one but Kayak even slipped after straps so returned same day. Second trolley I bought was TITAPS for almost same price as this one. Simply awesome design, compact, easily foldable but same problem. Kayak even slipped after straps thus returned via Amazon same day. This was my third attempt to buy something suitable for my "Pelican™ Mission" Kayak and it worked like wonders. Top Pros:- 1. Wide enough for any size of Kayak 2. Compact enough if you want to store in Kayak storage 3. Easily dismantles (don't folds like TITAPS but dismantles in seconds) (Though I will never dismantle and will use bungee ropes in rear Kayak storage) 4. Very big wide wheels with thin rubber layer. You try it on shingle , sand, mud, grass, tarmac, it is simply impossible to slip 5. Quality is top notch. Made in New Zealand. 6. Design and Concept is fantastic. Can't skid , can't slip. 7. If you are confused about size, design or your Kayak , suitability and compatibility. One thing I can assure this Kayak should work smoothly for any design of Kayak. It's design of side wings are meant to self adjust as per Kayak design. CONS:- 1. Pricey :- Kayak trolleys starts from £30 and goes upto £200. This is off-course pricey but I am ready to pay for this price if it grantees it won't slip and it is for sure best choice. 2. Stand:- Stand in this Kayak looks flimsy however I doubt it will brake easily. I will see how it goes. Over all 5 Star rating. If that would have been a failure only option for me left out was diy.

One of the best decision I ever made in buying this specific kit in my kayaking venture. I had everything else but couldn't face the hassle of the old wheels that slipped every time I was taking my kayak down to my close river. Now I can confidently leave without having to adjust it at all after going up/down pavements and crossing the road. I turned the plates on an inward facing position which can be done and this suited my hull best. So easy to set up and dismantle. And lightweight. Never have to manage or check deflating tires! Makes going off for my trip hassle free and definitely worth the extra money for the confidence and whole experience (I found the previous once so stressful) and now I can travel further to the better slipway🙌 . Excellent quality kit! You won't regret it! Delivery was quick also.. Only a couple of days and I was off🙃 Tips: I watched youtube channels for the webbing threading to buckle at the beginning which really helped. Also watched a couple of others for the actual assembling, but visual is my preferred choice of instructions for my Neuro brain. But the paper ones that come with it would be no problem….i used both! OK. Before I purchased this trolley, I posted questions about its suitability for use with an open (Canadian) canoe. No-one had experience of using the trolley for this purpose, but helpful replies gave me the courage to invest. I'm glad I did. (Yes, I know that it is called a "Kayak and Canoe Trolley" but the word "canoe" is widely interpreted. The product description calls it "The C-TUG kayak cart" and the website only shows kayaks. And I was scared of wasting nearly £100!) But, bottom line, it works. Actually, it works brilliantly. It arrived disassembled, and the instruction leaflet is not great (as one other reviewer had stated - but it took me only 5 minutes to assemble. No screws required. The most difficult thing was working out how the straps fitted - but a bit of thought solved the conundrum. Assembled, the trolley is pretty rugged, especially as it's plastic throughout, and light - about 10 lbs. The wheels are secure but also easy to remove for storage on board if required. The adjustable pads mean that any craft, whether V or flat keeled, can be accommodated. My Open Canoe is a Hou Canoes 15ft 7 inch Prospector, weighing around 34 kgs. The trolley is rated for 120 kgs, so no problem here. The Prospector has very little keel, but the pads fold flat to hold her securely. With the strap secured, the trolley is very stable, and manoeuvring is exceptionally easy. Portages are a breeze, and gravel and firm sand pose no problems. So, expensive - yes. But I spent half the price some years ago on a trolley that was not fit for the job - a waste of money. You don't always get what you pay for - but in this case you do, I think.

Yes it can seem to be a big outlay but it is the best one I have used. Very easy to put together and with the quick release of the wheels is a great asset for storing and packing for travelling. I use this to carry my 40kg kayak and all the camping and fishing gear on the kayak. The rubber rests helps stop the kayak slipping when maneuvering and the added bonus of having the strap always there.

We have had a pair of these for nearly 2 years, and love them. Even though they assemble without any tools, they are very sturdy and durable. The bonus is that they disassemble quickly and easily, if you wish to store in them in your kayak's storage compartment.
