Used the first time, easy to set up & inflate. Felt pretty sturdy in the water, for what I would expect from an inflatable kyak. Used in a large lake, smooth water conditions. The only thing I would say, is the inflatable seat design is a bit bad. The valves for blowing up are not non-returnable valves. This makes them difficult to inflate and then push valve in. Also I found the rear seat backrest valve kept popping out. This caused it to deflate and provide no support. I wedged something behind it to stop this from happening. Otherwise I cant really fault the item.

Had this kayak for over a year and have used it on the sea, lakes and rivers. Best use on slow river, really fun. Pros: Sturdy kayak, inflates well. Mine has two seats, second is good for a child. Nice and stable and has never capsized. Paddle is good quality. Check if this is included. Cons: I'm writing this review as I've spoken to a few sevylor owners on the river bank. We all complain about the original seats. They are uncomfortable to the point of giving you back ache and reduce the time you spend in it. They also deflate easily. Some people resort to kneeling, but thats not great either. Tips: change the seat! Sewing velco onto base of a replacement seat (available on amazon, see picture). Makes this a great kayak. This is a huge faff to do, but essential. Would I recommend? Not really, as other brands, e.g. Decathl*n appear to have much better seats out of the box. I'm really happy with mine now the seat is changed.

I purchased one of these Sevylor Adventure Kit Inflatable Kayaks on line after seeing them fly off the shelves of a local warehouse store. It is the first time I have purchased a boat of any kind at all. I was bit apprehensive first time I took it out but was amazed how easy it was to pump up and get ready to use. First time out was on the river Thames at Runnymede with a a friend. We took the precaution of wearing bouyancy aids but the kayak was very stable and we felt very secure. We have since taken the boat onto the sea twice and paddled along the coastline albeit not too far from the beach but it coped well even with a strong breeze. We have also taken it out on several different rivers and canals with a few scrapes with thorns and bushes and its survived to date. Although its a two man kayak you can adjust the seat position and paddle it on your own. I'm not sure why one of the feedbacks says it won't fit in a Volvo because I have a Nissan Micra and the deflated boat fits in the boot with room to spare for two small cases. If you are thinking of getting one of these it is great fun, so just do it and enjoy yourself.

I ordered one of these and it came with a hole in the bottom. After returning it the second one arrived with my pump or manometer or fin as part of the adventure kit. Amazon were very helpful and compensated my own purchase of these things but the compat themselves refused to help. The seats are extremely frustrating and offer no support at all. Having finally got our third time lucky a month after initially wanting a purchase I can confirm the kayak itself it very stable and seems durable, but it you're after a quick easy purchase I'd stear clear of this company. If you're willind to spend a bit more id suggest the model up to get the better designed seats if you plan on spending any length of time in it. Hope that helps

Ich hab das Sevylor Adventure 2er jetzt seit 4 Jahren. Es hatte noch keine Macke. Wir waren damit schon auf verschiedenen Seen, der Lahn (mit und ohne Strömung bzw. was man da so Stromschnellen nennen kann), in einer Meerwasserlagune und auf dem Meer in Strandnähe mit wenig Wellen; eine Freundin auf dem Main. Wir hatten nie das Gefühl, dass das Boot gleich kippt, fühlten uns immer sicher, auch unser Hund hatte nie Angst. Es liegt recht tief im Wasser, das muss man bedenken für flache Gewässer wie die Lahn stellenweise, oder für Rutschen (viele gehen damit einfach nicht, auch wegen des Materials, das z.b. an den Borstenrutschen einfach hängen bleibt). Das Material ist aber sehr stabil, hält auch aufsetzen aus. Das Kanu ist einerseits sehr wendig und reagiert sensibel auf Steuermanöver (mit und ohne Finne), mit etwas Übung und v.a. mit Finne bleibt man aber auch ziemlich sicher auf Kurs. Aber durch die tiefe Lage ist es deutlich anstrengender als mit dem Metall- oder Plastikkanu bei stillen Gewässern vorwärts zu kommen. Platz ist ausreichend für 2 Erwachsene mit etwas Gepäck oder Hund (ja, die Krallen sind kein Problem). Alleine paddeln/steuern mit 2 Mann im Boot ist etwas schwieriger, dazu ist es etwas zu schwerfällig durch die Lage im Wasser. Mit Doppelpaddel und allein, mittig sitzend geht das aber schon auch mal. Vernünftige Paddel sollte man extra kaufen, das was dabei ist, ist etwas suboptimal. Das Ding ist verpackt etwa so groß wie eine lange Reisetasche, wiegt ordentlich was, wir haben uns so einen kleinen Gepäckroller dazu geholt. Aufbau und Handling sind super, geht fix und leicht. Wichtig ist der richtige Druck, Messgerät liegt bei. Wir haben das Boot im Urlaub gern dabei und auch wenn wir es nicht sooo oft nutzen, macht es doch immer wieder echt Spaß. Mit etwas Übung ist das Steuern auch total easy. Ein aufblasbares Kanu sollte möglichst schmale Seitenwände haben, sonst macht das Paddeln wenig Spaß und du reibst dir die Arme auf. Im adventure geht es für mich als 166cm große Frau grade so. Manchmal nutze ich noch ein extra Kissen zur Erhöhung.

Natürlich kann das Boot nicht mit einem richtigen (Kunststoff/Metall-) Kanadier oder Kayak mithalten, aber es kann doch deutlich mehr als ein einfaches Schlauchboot. Wir haben das Boot jetzt zwei Jahre im Urlaub im Kattegat als Bade- und Spaßboot aber auch für kleinere Touren entlang der Küste im Einsatz gehabt und es hat sich absolut bewährt. Es läuft mit eingebauter Finne auch bei leichtem Wind gut geradeaus, so dass man frustfrei selbst größere Strecken zurücklegen kann. Selbst mit stärkerem Wellengang kommt es gut zurecht, solange die Wellen nicht brechen (dann läuft das Boot wie alle offenen Boote) voll und bewegt sich nur noch wie eine bleierne Ente. Zwei nicht zu große/schwere Erwachsen können gut zu zweit damit fahren. Ansonsten geht es prima auch allein auf dem hinteren Sitz. Die Sitze sind auf Dauer eher unbequem. Sitzt man hinten, kann man aber etwas hinter den Sitz stopfen, so dass der Halt nach hinten besser ist. Die Bootsaußenhaut macht einen sehr robusten Eindruck. Rutschlandungen auf muschelbedeckten Stränden haben bis jetzt keine bleibenden Spuren hinterlassen. Auf- und Abbau gehen leicht, aber man muss durch die Doppelhülle ein bisschen mehr aufpassen, dass alles richtig sitzt. Nach der letzten Benutzung für längere Zeit empfiehlt es sich die Seitenluftkammern herauszunehmen und zu trocknen und reinigen. Etwas Wasser dringt immer in die entsprechenden Taschen der Außenhülle. Auffällige Undichtigkeiten haben wir nicht beobachtet. Wir haben das Boot immer während des ganzen Urlaubs aufgepumpt gelassen und ggf. auf dem Dachträger des Autos transportiert. Alle paar Tage mussen wir ein wenig Luft nachfüllen. Insgesamt ist das Boot der perfekte Kompromiss für Leute, die keinen Platz für Transport oder Lagerung eines starren Bootes haben. Es ist ein ernst zu nehmendes Boot und kein Spielzeug (man kann es natürlich trotzdem als Badeboot für die Kinder verwenden).
